On November 22, 2024, the ELL Department witnessed an innovative event titled “Reflection Gates Market”, prepared by students from the ELL 24 C group. The initiative, designed to enhance students' analytical and creative abilities, was centered around 12 units and 36 topics of the Pre-Intermediate NEF book. Participants showcased their understanding by analyzing key aspects, including:
- The moral lessons of each unit
- Real-life applications of the topics
- Comprehensive grammar analysis
- Their recommendations for the Pre-Intermediate NEF books
- Creativity in their presentations
A unique highlight of the event was its integration of cultural and linguistic insights, focusing on the theme of Thanksgiving. Students explored gratitude through cultural, traditional, and linguistic lenses, comparing and contrasting Thanksgiving celebrations across various cultures. The activity aimed to foster critical and creative thinking, enhance integrated language skills, and connect academic lessons to real-life contexts.
Students received “Love and Gratitude Letters” from their parents. They shared these emotional messages with the audience through live loudspeaker phone calls, underscoring the importance of family and thankfulness in life.
