Wellbeing Week in AIU

From November 25 to November 29, 2024, the AIU hosted the “Wellbeing Week”, organized on the initiative of Gulnura Irenchieva, Senior English lecturer at the Institute of Languages, and Tinatin Zhakshylykova, Head of the Psychology Department. The event was based on project-based learning approaches and the use of English as a tool for global cooperation. It touched topics such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), physical and mental health, as well as quality education.

The event was attended by 300 students of the Humanities and Economics faculties. They actively joined in the work on projects and research, which allowed them to realize important social problems and suggest ways to solve them. One of the key aspects of the week was the study of factors affecting academic failure and procrastination. These data were reviewed by senior teachers Gulnura Irenchieva, Chynara Jeenbekova, Tinatin Zhakshylykova and Saltanat Zhakisheva.

Results of the event:

  • The first place was taken by students of the Psychology Department
  • Second place – Faculty of Economics
  • The third place – Institute of Languages.

In addition to educational and research tasks, Wellbeing Week has helped students develop important interpersonal skills such as team building, networking and effective collaboration between representatives of different faculties.
