AIU professor became a member of the National Union of Writers of the KR

AIU Professor Alimzhan Zakirov became a member of the Writers' Union of the Kyrgyz Republic last year. The 90th anniversary of the Writers' Union was celebrated at the Kyrgyz National Philharmonic named after Toktogul Satylganov, where our professor was presented with a certificate and a badge.

“My books, novels and other works were liked by readers, thanks to which I was accepted as a member of the Writers' Union. A solemn meeting was held at the Philharmonic Hall, where Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Zhaparov and representatives from other countries spoke warmly about Kyrgyz literature, children's literature, prose and poetry. It was also stressed that more attention should be paid to the Kyrgyz language.” – added A. Zakirov.

The Writers' Union of the Kyrgyz Republic is a creative association of professional writers of Kyrgyzstan. Currently, the Union has about 600 members. Sections work in such areas as prose, poetry, drama, translation, literature of nations, literary criticism, children's literature and youth creativity.
