People in Kyrgyzstan are friendly and hospitable.
Kyrgyz and Russian languages are spoken in Kyrgyzstan. Since the language of instruction at AIU is English, most people at the university can speak English.
Kyrgyzstan has a continental climate. You can enjoy all of the four seasons in Kyrgyzstan: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.

The team members from the International Office will arrange the transportation from the airport to the accommodations
Usually it is around $300 a month.
AIU assists to find an accommodation for nonresident and international students.
We recommend first year students should live in a dormitory. After the first year, a student makes choice between a dormitory and apartment.
Tuition fee for the academic year of 2019-2020 is $2700, medical faculty is $3850 per year. Please contact the admissions office for more information.

The language of instruction is English. There also some classes in Russian.

Yes, you can change your major, but you might have to take more classes for your new major.
Yes, there are. There are academic exchange programs every year. Our university cooperates with more than 70 partner universities from 21 different countries. Student exchange program is an opportunity to study for a semester or one-year non-degree training at one of the partner universities.
Yes, our University is involved in the pan-European program for cooperation in educational area. Within the ERASMUS program there is an exchange of students and teachers between institutions of higher education in Europe, where our university is a competent partner. Our students have a great opportunity to be trained under this program, all the costs of which are covered by the European Union and host country.
Usually there are about 15-20 students in a class.
With wide range of social facilities such as dance and concert halls, football fields, basketball, volleyball and tennis courts, dining hall and canteens, also a beautiful garden, AIU is not only the institution for learning but also the vibrant center of social life.
There are many sport and cultural activities at the university. Students can enjoy playing such sports as football, basketball, volleyball, tennis and other sports. Also there are many cultural activities for students such concerts and theatrical performances.

It depends on official procedure, but usually it takes about 2 weeks.
