The Kyrgyz team is in 3rd place at the BRICS

The team from Kyrgyzstan, consisting of Kadyrmamat Momunov and Elnur Nurmukhanov, took the 3rd place in the distributed format at the BRICS Future Skills & Tech Challenge 2024 in the competence “Cyber security”. Kadyrmamat Momunov is a 3rd-year student of the IT Faculty of the AIU, currently studying in Germany as part of a dual degree program.

Kadyrmamat Momunov:Kadyrmamat Momunov: The main motive for my participation was to obtain a document confirming my practical skills.

“Our team represented Kyrgyzstan, although my partner was from Kazakhstan. He agreed to participate for our team and quickly adapted to the competition, despite the fact that this was his first experience of participating in such events. I did most of the tasks, but his support was extremely useful, and together we were able to achieve good results.

Сынак төрт модулдан турду:The competition consisted of four modules:

  • Module A: Creating a secure network according to a scenario. Unfortunately, due to technical difficulties, we were unable to participate in this module.
  • Module B: CTF in Jeopardy format, where we scored the most points.
  • Module C: an attack on a virtual server in the Black Box format, where we earned points by advancing on tasks.
  • Module D: investigation of the attacker's attack, analysis of the methods and tools used in the attack. For the first time, we tried some analysis tools and learned how to apply new approaches to solving problems.

Participation in this championship has become an invaluable experience for us, which I hope will benefit us in the future. According to the results of the competition, we took third place, and each of us received an official Skills Passport, which confirms our competence in cybersecurity. I also received a diploma for third place, which was a pleasant conclusion to our participation in the BRICS Future Skills & Tech Challenge 2024.”

The International Advanced Technology and Skills Championship BRICKS Future Skills & Tech Challenge 2024 brought together participants from more than 30 countries. The events were held in face-to-face and distributed formats at advanced industry competence centers and production sites in dynamically developing regions of Russia and other BRICS+ countries.
