Dual Degree Programme

Introduction:

This document is a guidance for students of Ala-Too International University on how to apply for dual degree programmes. Students shall learn eligibility criteria and application procedures of the dual degree programme. Document also highlights the responsibilities of the stakeholders in the programme: students, home and host institutions.

 

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Second year student 
  • English language certificate: B2+ (room A -214) 

/ IELTS 6+ / TOEFL PPT 520 / TOEFL IBT 72 / Cambridge Advanced Certificate grade A

  • No fail department core courses 
  • GPA score: 89 +

 

Selection Criteria:

  • Candidates will be selected on the basis of the submitted documents 
  • Interview February 28, 15:00

Required Documents for Application:

  • Online Application form 
  • Official Transcript from Office of Student Affairs
  • Copy of International Passport
  • Certificate of English Language Skills 
  • Motivation Letter 
  • Recommendation letter  (2)

 

Application Procedure:

  • Applicants can participate in a Briefing Seminar to get detailed information about dual degree programmes and ask questions from officials.
  • Applicants have to submit online application with the required documents till February 18
  • Successful applicants will be invited to the interview.
  • Applicants have to be nominated to host University till March 10th 
  • Depending on host university’s requirements the allocated applicants have to submit additional documents and to fill up host university’s Application Form 
  • Applicants have to choose the disciplines very accurately in assistance with the Head of Departments. 
  • Upon completion of the dual degree the student shall receive two diploma certificates, two grade transcripts and two diploma supplements.
  • Dual students must register and pay tuition and other required fees at their currently studying institution.

 

  • Successful  students pay individually for:  
  1. Visa (application, resubmission or reissue) 
  2.  Flights;
  3. Insurance;
  4.  Dormitory;
  5.  Food;
  6. Living expenses;
  7.  Learning materials;
