Ala-Too International University, to promote the principles of equality and inclusiveness, intends to offer 10 % of the grants out of competition within Erasmus+KA171 to students with fewer opportunities and take the following measures:

To identify students from the following groups as the students with fewer opportunities / students from vulnerable groups:
- Students with mental, physical problems
- Students with economic disadvantage
- Students from ethnic minority groups
- Gender factor
- Children of migrants
- Emigrants
- Refugees
- Students from remote or rural areas
If you feel you belong to one of these groups, kindly visit the International Relations Office or Head of Departments, Students Affairs Office to inform your willingness to participate in the Erasmus+International Credit Mobility Program.Β

The International Relations Office take the following measures to encourage and support students with fewer opportunities to participate in the Erasmus + Student Mobility programs:Β

To work closely with the Students Affairs Office, Heads of Departments to identify students with fewer opportunities;

To produce promotional material and publications in relevant languages including sign language, and appropriate formats such as large print, easy-to-read and braille, with information of possibility to benefit from funding (10% out of all grants) available to support people with fewer opportunities

To simplify the application procedures. To avoid as much as possible bureaucratic issues not requiring lots of documents in the application

To add a question in the application identifying if they feel they belong to one of above-mentioned groups. If yes, request them shortly specify

To form a Selection Committee that will identify the most vulnerable students

To provide personal empowerment, linguistic support, cultural preparation and explain what is expected from them and whom to contact for educational, administrative and personal support during the activities

Β To provide a range of support activities: to help with visa issues, to meet / see off them at the airport, to find accommodation, etc

To provide a counterpart or a peer at the host university with whom they can exchange their experience and prevent or address any kind of difficulties

The university is encouraged to involve the returned participants in local activities (information, support activities) in order to maximize the experience and to encourage future participants

To accept the credit hours.
