On October 22, 2024, a meeting was held in AIU with researchers from the Center for Eurasian Studies of the Institute for International and Area Studies (IIAS) of Tsinghua University, China.
During the meeting, representatives of the center, Wang Tao and Shi Jing, together with representatives of the AIU discussed cooperation with the Silk Road Research Center, as well as the possibility of holding joint conferences in the field of science and research.
In addition, the representatives held a lecture on the topic “Representing the interests of Eurasia: Knowledge Production and Regional Studies in the UK and China” for students of the International Relations Department. The students received useful first-hand insights.
The purpose of the IIAS at Tsinghua University is to promote the development of the first-level discipline of regional and regional studies in the study of Eurasian issues and the training of talented specialists.
