On March 6, 2024, the AIU hosted a workshop for students with Dr. Marcello Tonelli, organized by the Department of Journalism. Dr. Tonnelli is an internationally distinguished author and educator in the field of sustainable development with a PhD in strategic decision-making.
The workshop was dedicated to the topic “The mere existence of the arms industry is our worst environmental crime”. The speaker drew the students' attention to various aspects of this issue. They discussed the various impacts of production on natural resources and ecosystems, and identified the link between them. The students were able to look at this problem from a new perspective and discussed possible solutions. The event was held in an interactive format, where participants worked in teams.
