AIU is actively involved in international student exchange and the development of dual degree programs. Within the framework of this cooperation, Marie Lucas, a student of the double degree Master's program “Economic Development” from France, is currently studying at the university. According to the 23-year-old student, she learned about the program during a meeting in France. While studying at the AIU for a semester, Marie shared her impressions of the university and the country as a whole:
I am a student from France, as well as a teaching assistant. I learned about the cooperation between our Clermont Auvergne University and AIU, which was an opportunity for me to immerse myself in a new culture and country. That's why I chose Kyrgyzstan. I am currently also doing a research internship, which requires writing a master's thesis.
This is my first experience outside of Europe, and Kyrgyzstan has become a pleasant discovery. Beautiful landscapes, majestic mountains around Bishkek, and local residents show great interest in new acquaintances. The local cuisine is also striking in its variety and taste.
Upon arriving at AIU, I was warmly welcomed and helped with administrative procedures. There is a very international atmosphere here, and the university has partnerships with many countries around the world, which is incredibly inspiring.
After completing her studies in Kyrgyzstan, our student intends to obtain a Ph.D. in Economic development or work as a researcher for a year before starting to defend her doctoral dissertation. We wish Marie Lucas fruitful studies and success in her scientific and professional endeavors!
