On May 17, 2024, the Institute of PhD, Doctoral, Postgraduate and Master's Studies of the AIU held a round table on the topic “Modern trends in training of scientific staff: Ph.D, Candidate and Doctors of Science”.
The program was attended by the rector of AIU Zhyldyzbek Zhykshylykov, Vice-rector for Academic Affairs Rustam Umarov, as well as lecturers and doctoral students of AIU. The special significance of the event was attached by the guests – professors of Nazarbayev University: Shamatov Duishon, Tsediso Michael Makoele and Mir Afzal Tajik. They shared their experience and the process of applying for a PhD at Nazarbayev University.
During the discussion, key aspects of the successful adaptation of students in doctoral, master's and postgraduate studies were identified, as well as prospects for the development of cooperation and possible joint projects and research. The professors of Nazarbayev University expressed gratitude for the invitation and willingness to cooperate in the exchange of experience and best practices in the training of scientific personnel. AIU expresses gratitude to the professors of Nazarbayev University for the visit.
