The main language of instruction at AIU is English. General education subjects are taught in the state and official languages. All applicants, after enrolling in the university, take part in the AIU EPT.

AIU EPT – testing determines the level of knowledge of the English language and is not introductory, since the AIU accepts applicants based on the results of the ORT. In order to enroll in the AIU, the applicant must know English at the Intermediate (B2) level. Applicants who score 60 out of 100% according to the test results will be able to enroll in the first year of university. For them, the learning period will be 4 years.

Students who score below 60% will be able to enroll in a Foundation Course AIU, during which they intensively study English with native speakers. Thus, the term of study of students who scored less than 60% will be 5 years.

Applicants with original TOEFL (IBT-60 points), IELTS (6.0 points) certificates are automatically enrolled in the first year of the AIU without participating in testing.
