In accordance with the decrees of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic № 1 “On spiritual and moral development and physical culture of the individual” dated January 29, 2021, № 157 “On National Value” dated May 20, 2022, and № 39 “On the concept of developing self-knowledge of citizens as Kyrgyz citizens in the Kyrgyz Republic for 2021-2026” dated November 13, 2020, On April 18, 2024, the Republican scientific and practical conference “The role of youth in the development of national values and culture in modern society” conference at AIUwas held at the Ala-Too International University (AIU). The scientific event was organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the KR, the public youth Foundation “Yiyk Ata-Zhurt” and the Ala-Too International University.
The purpose of the scientific-practical conference is to preserve and develop the moral and intellectual potential of young people, as well as to discuss the impact of modern technologies on the youth environment and the practical implementation of ideas in the field of digital technologies and education. In addition, the conference is aimed at maintaining and preserving national identity.
The rector of the AIU, PhD Zhyldyzbek Zhakshylykov, Vice-rector for Scientific Work, Professor Salidin Kaldybayev, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the KR Muratbek Kasymaliev, as well as Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the KR Chyngyz Esengul uulu made welcoming speech at the plenary session.
Rector of AIU, Ph.D Zhyldyzbek Zhakshykov: “The organization of this conference is becoming an integral part of our university mission. Conducting scientific events of this scale allows us to move forward. Looking through the topics of the presented scientific papers, I saw that they relate to the most pressing problems of our time. We look forward to working more closely with the organizers for future successful events. The University attaches great importance to the organization of events in the field of science and education and strives to actively participate in them” he noted and wished the participants success.
Chyngyz Esengul uulu stressed: “I would like to express my gratitude to Ala-Too International University for holding this event based on one of the first decrees of the President and for bringing together students from different parts of the country.” He stressed the importance of creative activity of young people in creating more Kyrgyz content, and mentioned the problems associated with the shortage of specialists in the field of archaeology, as well as the situation of restrictions on the work of the TikTok social network.
The conference also featured plenary presentations by two prominent personalities. Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the KR Abylabek Asankanov made a presentation on the topic “Self-knowledge of the multiethnic people of Kyrgyzstan as a citizen of Kyrgyzstan is a requirement of the time.” The winner of the Toktogul State Prize of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kyrgyz people's writer and professor Sovetbek Baigaziev shared his thoughts on “The role of national values in the socialization of the younger generation.”
The following sections were highlighted at the conference, within which students presented their reports:
- National value, culture and sports
- The influence of the modern legal system of the Kyrgyz Republic on personal development
- The role of pedagogy in the formation of youth
- The influence of literature on the spiritual and moral formation of youth
- Psychological portrait of modern youth
- Globalization and modern values
- Media and digital technologies
Representatives of 14 universities of Kyrgyzstan took part in the event. More than 100 reports were received, of which 82 were selected. Within each section, the participants were awarded diplomas and cash prizes, whose scientific articles were recognized as the best. It was noted that the scientific and practical conference of students on this topic will be held on an annual basis.
