From April 12 to April 13, 2024, the AIU hosted a two-day event “Multimania: Explore, Invent, Thrive” for students in order to develop areas such as startups, patenting, incorporation and scientific activity.
The participants decided on the choice of their trajectory, studied the problems, put forward ideas, created models and presented their own solutions.
“This event originated a year ago under the name “Startupomania”. We have provided students with the opportunity to develop in the field of entrepreneurship. This year, this initiative has grown to four areas.” said Andrey Ermakov, Head of the Department of Engineering and Informatics.
According to Ruslan Isaev, Dean of the IT Faculty, the participants of the Multimania are future promising scientists, inventors, integrators and startups:
“We want our students to create their own products as inventions and patent them in Kyrgyzpatent. This approach is unique for Kyrgyzstan, as our faculty has been allowing students to complete their final qualifying work in the startup or invention format for the third year.”
In addition, the coordinator of the Center for Innovative Developments and Research, Radmir Gumerov conducted training for participants on the development of projects and the preparation of necessary documents for patenting.
“The speakers in each area shared the secrets of finding entrepreneurial qualities and conducted tests to assess our skills. I am sure that this workshop will help me get to know myself better and develop the necessary skills. I would like to express my gratitude to the organizers for such a valuable event for students” - Malika, a first-year student at the IT faculty, shared her impressions.
At the end of the event, the best teams in each of the directions were awarded with cash prizes.
