On April 26, 2024, the AIU hosted EcoFest 2024, organized by the Department of Management.
Rector of the AIU Zhyldyzbek Zhakshylykov made a welcoming speech and thanked the organizers and guests for their active participation. Within the framework of the program, a fair of eco-goods and eco-food of local production, creative master-classes, interactive waste products and an explanation of how ecology is important for our country were organized. Representatives of companies such as: Move Green, Chopo.Art, Waste Net, Naktakak, Nukura, Blossom.kg Nakta Kurut, Kyrgyz Delight, Aman Kyrgyz Honey, Eco made, Alayku made presentations and provided valuable information.
“I am very glad that I am participating in such an important event as Eco-Fest. In my speech, I stressed the problem of air pollution in Kyrgyzstan – this is a really serious problem that requires our attention. Unfortunately, many people confuse smog with ordinary fog, not realizing the dangers it poses to our health and the environment. I believe that this event helps to draw attention to this problem and raise awareness of environmental issues among young people. I am sure that thanks to such events, many of those present today have thought about how they can contribute to solving environmental problems, including the problem of air pollution.” - said Inna Brusenskaya, an expert on air quality.
Between the presentations of the companies, members of the Music Club performed. There were also interesting games where participants won prizes.
The main purpose of the event is to foster environmental culture and promote the development of principles of respect for nature among students. In addition, the creation of a platform for the exchange of information and experience between various organizations and experts in the field of ecology in order to support cooperation.
